Tasty and Healthy Mission

After 5 years of healthy marriage and unhealthy diet, I observed I had put on 23 lbs.

I was a complete failure in terms of weight loss. And that led me to think that happiness = weight gain. How dumb! But we all find excuses to our failures. Basic human nature and I am a human. Despite an active lifestyle with random workouts and multiple dance quarters every year, there was no movement on the weigh scale. Fortunately, it had stopped growing after I gained like 20-23 lbs. Again surrendering to the basic human nature, I was trying to be happy with the way I was maintaining my increased weight....lol

But last one year has been a revelation. And a damn good one. A sudden trip to India for my mom's open heart surgery and BAM!!! I have grown up seeing many health sufferings in the entire family. But this one sent shivers down my spine. While nursing my mom every moment I realized the importance of good health. So a tasty and healthy mission started and here I am today after a year

Today I am with 6 yrs healthy marriage and healthy body.

I do not know how long this is going to last. But I know I will not deliberately ruin it again after all that I have learnt about healthy living. And so far, with minimal exercise but a healthy diet it has been doable.

I wanted to start this blog for myself and people like me who are unable to figure out a healthy lifestyle. Being a foodie and with a passion for cooking I cannot settle for food that doesn't taste good.

So my life is all about a Tasty recipe baked in a healthy oven.

Amazing to see what you have done with yourself! I have been reading your healthy twists on traditional recipes and I will try some of them in my kitchen. How do you keep yourself motivated, so that you don't fall off the healthy food train?
